About The Event

Did you know that canines are increasingly used in wildlife conservation efforts here in Maine and elsewhere?  Learn about the science behind a dog's amazing scent detection abilities and the art of training them to work alongside biologists.  You'll enjoy a live demonstration and meet Delta, a conservation canine in action.  Lindsay Ware, M.S., CPDT-KA, founder of Science Dogs of New England and Cheryl Frederick, PhD, animal behaviorist with Center for Wildlife Studies will present a fun and educational program.
